Ali and Sebastian’s engagement session in Rosemary Beach, FL.
We started the morning bright and early… 3:45 am to be exact! I know this may sound crazy, but the sunrises in 30A are totally worth the early wakeup call and little bit of a drive.
When arriving in Rosemary, we started on the beach as soon as the sun rose over the horizon. It was a little chilly, but we jumped into prompts with movement to get warmed up. The vision for this portion of their engagement session was fun, carefree, and romantic. The beautiful Santa Rosa Beach made for the perfect backdrop for this!
After we ran through a couple of fun prompts, we slowed it down a little.
One thing I have noticed about myself as an artist, is that I like blending two very different styles and putting my own spin on it. For example, my house is a collection of mid-century modern furniture and decor. There are some aspects of the mid-century feel that I love, but I am also a sucker for the more modern and clean look.
I also take this approach to photography. I love documentary imagery that you can feel, but I also love super editorial images too. I was so happy when Ali and Sebastian decided to do a 2 hour engagement session so we could dabble in both the documentary carefree style and editorial.
After we wrapped it up on the beach, Ali and Seb changed and we drove over to the actual Rosemary town square. We walked around the beautiful town and stopped in front of the iconic Pearl hotel to snap a few images. Rosemary Beach is such a beautiful place and one of our favorite local locations!!
If you’re like me and love a little bit of candid and a little bit of editorial, or even one or the other, let’s create the engagement session of your dreams!!
