I often get asked what locations I recommend for photoshoots in 30A, so I thought I’d share a list of our favorite spots in the area. 30A has so many amazing spots that it would be impossible to fit them all in this blog post! So, here are a few of our favorites / most frequently visited locations along 30A for photoshoots.
Private Access in Santa Rosa Beach
Who wants to take valuable time out of your vacation to drive to a beach access if you have one where you are staying? Most of our families have us come to their private beach access associated with the beach condo or Airbnb they are staying in. That way it’s easier on you and your littles are already familiar with the location. I love using spots like these because there is usually good variety with the dune grass walkway leading to the beach and the beach itself.
Rosemary Beach or The Pearl RB
Rosemary Beach has to be our favorite town in Santa Rosa Beach. The cobblestone streets and unique architecture make this location truly one of a kind. In fact, the Pearl RB is so iconic! During peak season, we recommend scheduling your session in the early morning so the area is less crowded and we have more room to move around and photograph the spots you fall in love with.
Grayton Beach State Park
Our most popular location, especially during peak season, is Grayton Beach State Park. Located only a few minutes away from the heart of Seaside, Grayton Beach is a beautiful state park with plenty of room for family photos. There is a $5 fee per vehicle to enter the main gate, but the privacy of this beach is totally worth it! It is one of the only locations near Seaside that does not have a ton of buildings in the background. This location is very popular among photographers, so you will probably see a few other families having their photos taken at the time of your session.
The Destin Jetties
If you are looking for a beach location that offers something completely unique to the area, we recommend the jetties in Destin, FL. Even though they may be a little bit of a drive if you are staying in Seaside, the scenery is totally worth it!
The Chapel at Seaside in Seaside, FL
If you have been to Seaside, you are probably familiar with the little white chapel that sits right in the heart of the town. The Chapel at Seaside has grown to be one of our favorite photo locations. Just steps away from the beach, this chapel is in the perfect area! You could start your session near the chapel and then walk over to the Coleman Beach Pavilion to end your session on the beach.
Eden Gardens State Park
Eden Gardens State Park provides so much variety in scenery. There are so many beautiful plants, large oak trees with Spanish moss, and the white mansion. Also, golden hour at the park is unlike any other! The light pours in perfectly through the trees, making the area feel so magical.
