Orange Beach Alabama Wedding

Conlan and Logan’s timeless wedding day at the Magnolia Hall in Orange Beach Alabama.

This wedding day was one filled with happy tears, hugs, belly laughs, and worship. About a month before their wedding day, Conlan and I sat down and talked about her vision for the wedding day, timeline details, and how we could strategically get the shots she had always dreamed of. We approached their wedding day through a documentary lens. In other words, always looking for the little moments. And taking photos even when the moment wasn’t necessarily “picture perfect” or Instagram worthy.

If I learned anything from documenting this day with a focus on documentary storytelling, its more intentional than you think.

You will glance over all the little moments if you are not intentional. It’s taking photos once we’re “done taking photos.”

Its being vigilant even though it seems like nothing “photo worthy” is happening at that moment.

Its giving your couples space to be themselves and allowing time for them to truly soak in every moment.

Its giving yourself enough time on the wedding day. Candid moments don’t happen if you’re rushing around all day and packing your timeline full with photo lists.
