Nikayla and Mitchell didn’t let the wind scare them from enjoying their engagement photos on the beautiful Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, FL.
The couple traveled to the Destin area to be with family and escape the freezing cold temperatures of their hometown. Before our photoshoot, Nikayla and I talked vision. After sending me a beautiful Pinterest board filled with candid-inspired shots along the Emerald Coast, we decided on a very carefree and fun session. Nothing too posed and nothing too serious.
Even though the forecast called for a lot of wind in Destin, we decided to go ahead and continue with the session. I am so glad we did because the wind added the perfect dreamy touch to these images! Nikayla’s wind blow hair screams carefree, fun, and in love.
I typically give a lot of direction during photoshoots, but this time I told them to continue interacting with one another even when I wasn’t giving a prompt and “act like you’re so madly in love that you tune me out, but don’t actually tune me out haha.” I am absolutely in love with the natural beauty of these images and how it feels like we are just watching their date from a far.
