This is what dreams are made of! Last weekend, we had the incredible honor of photographing Anna and Hunter’s beautiful wedding at the Ringling Art Museum in Sarasota, Florida. This stunning venue, known for its breathtaking architecture, historic artwork, and iconic pink walls, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.

Originally set to take place at the Ca’ d’ Zan, the couple faced a ceremony venue change due to the effects of a storm. However, thanks to the talented Laura Detwiler Events and her remarkable team, they executed the transition to the Ringling Courtyard seamlessly. The team’s meticulous planning ensured that every detail was perfect, allowing Anna and Hunter to fully enjoy their day without worry.

Moments in the Morning

Just hours before walking down the aisle, Anna, her bridesmaids, and both mothers made final preparations in a cozy Airbnb only fifteen minutes away from the Ringling. So much joy and laughter filled the home as we arrived. The couples adorable doggies, Rex and Cannoli, met us at the door. Meanwhile, Hunter and all of the guys dressed at the Westin only a few blocks away.

I found the custom invitation suite designed by LDE Events and PaperDolls Designs so inspiring! The collaboration beautifully captured the Ca’ d’Zan in watercolor, incorporating timeless and artistic elements that set the perfect tone for the wedding day.

Arriving to the Ringling Museum

Moments after arriving at the Ringling courtyard, Anna and Hunter shared a precious moment between just the two of them. Typically, we position our couples in the perfect spot, step back, and capture the moment as they exchange vows. However, Anna and Hunter chose a completely private vow exchange inside the museum. Surrounded by the breathtaking masterpieces of Peter Paul Rubens, it was such a serene yet awestruck sight to behold. Even though all we have is a photo peering through the glass of the museum door, this was definitely one of my favorite memories from the day. They chose to carve out a moment just for themselves, free from the pressure of an audience, making it all the more special because it is one that will truly live etched in their minds forever.
